Most loading issues are fixed by a hard refresh: Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac. Canvas and Supercomputer are complex interfaces that sometimes need a full reload to initialize. The same browser-level causes are behind most "Something went wrong" errors and unresponsive Download buttons. If the issue persists across browsers, check the #announcements channel in the Higgsfield Discord for a platform-wide incident.
What should I try first?
Follow these in order:
- Refresh the page: F5 on Windows, Cmd+R on Mac.
- Hard refresh to clear the cached page: Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac.
- Try incognito or private mode. If it loads there, the issue is with your browser extensions or cached data.
- Try a different browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.
- Clear cache and cookies for higgsfield.ai in your browser settings, then reload.
- Disable browser extensions. Ad blockers, VPN extensions, and privacy tools can interfere with loading.
- Check your connection. An unstable network, a VPN or proxy, or too many open tabs can interrupt loading. Disable the VPN, close unused tabs, and make sure your connection is stable.
Why am I seeing "Something went wrong" after a generation?
This message appears when a generation fails to load or process correctly, and the cause can be on your side or on the model provider's side.
Check your side first: run through the steps above, log out and back in, and make sure your connection is stable. If everything is fine on your side, the issue is likely a temporary error from the AI provider, and credits for failed generations are returned automatically. For provider-side errors and credit returns, see My generation is stuck, pending, or failed. What should I do?
If the error keeps appearing, contact Support with your account email, a screenshot of the error, and, if possible, a short screen recording.
Why can't I download my generation?
If the Download button isn't responding, the most common causes are:
Ad blockers or privacy extensions — ad blockers, VPN add-ons, and privacy tools can block Higgsfield's download requests. Temporarily disable the extension, refresh the page, and try again.
Browser download permissions — your browser may be blocking file downloads from the site. Make sure downloads are allowed:
Browser | Where to allow downloads |
|---|---|
Chrome | Settings → Privacy & Security → Site Settings → Automatic Downloads → Allow |
Safari | Preferences → Websites → Downloads → Allow |
Firefox | Settings → Privacy → Permissions → Allow downloads |
Browser-specific issues — if the problem continues, switching to Chrome or Safari usually resolves it. If none of these steps help, contact Support with your account email, a screenshot, and, if possible, a short screen recording.
Canvas or Supercomputer isn't loading or keeps freezing. What do I do?
Both load a more complex interface than standard tools, so a hard refresh is the first step. Canvas autosaves periodically: if it freezes mid-session, a hard refresh restores the most recent save. If either doesn't load at all, try incognito mode first to rule out extension conflicts, then a different browser. Canvas may also load slowly on lower-end hardware or slower connections.
The issue persists across all browsers. What do I do?
If the site doesn't load on multiple browsers or devices, it's likely a platform-wide incident. Check the #announcements channel in the Higgsfield Discord.
If no incident is reported, contact Support and include your browser name and version, your operating system, the exact URL that isn't loading, and a description of what you see: a blank page, an error message, or a spinning loader.
