6 Best AI Video Tools for Realistic Human Motion in 2026 (Tested and Compared)

Higgsfield10 min

Most AI video tools can put a person in a frame. The hard part is making that person move like a real body: feet that stay planted, weight that shifts from leg to leg, fingers that close around an object, and a face and outfit that stay the same. We gave the same three tasks to four models: walk and turn, sit down and stand up, pick up a glass and put it back. Copying motion from a video was tested separately.

Looking for prompting techniques rather than a tool comparison? See How to Make AI People Move Realistically.

Why Human Motion Is the Hardest Problem in AI Video

Getting a convincing environment right is mostly a texture problem. Getting an object right is mostly a geometry problem. Getting a person to move convincingly is all three problems at once, plus physics, plus performance, plus frame-to-frame consistency. The weight has to load before the action and release after it, and all of that has to hold across every frame without the model defaulting to an average.

Quick Pick by Task

  • Walking and turning: Kling 4.0 or Higgsfield Cinema Studio 4.0, 3 of 3 takes each with a locked camera.
  • Sitting down and standing up: any of the four tested models, all 3 of 3. Kling 4.0 costs least per usable clip.
  • Hands and objects: Kling 4.0, Cinema Studio 4.0 or Seedance 2.5, 3 of 3 each.
  • Copying motion from a video: Kling Motion Control 3.0.
  • One character across several shots: Cinema Studio 4.0.
  • A talking presenter: HeyGen or Synthesia.

How These Tools Compare

Usable takes out of three per task. Image-to-video, 8 seconds, 720p, same start frame and prompt for every model. Runway and Luma were not part of this test.

A take counted as usable when the person did the action in the prompt, the feet stayed planted, the weight shifted naturally, the hands made real contact with the chair or glass, and the face and outfit stayed the same.

Pricing Per Clip

Higgsfield credits are converted at the Plus plan rate: $49 for 1,000 credits, or $0.049 per credit. Price per usable clip counts every attempt, including the ones thrown away. Subscriptions and API are listed separately.

Higgsfield Cinema Studio 4.0: One Character Across a Sequence

Higgsfield is an AI-native creative suite, a platform for creating and refining content. Cinema Studio 4.0, released in August 2026, is its directing tool, with a built-in model of the same name. Instead of relying only on a prompt, you set genre, camera, lens, lighting, palette, tempo and emotion before generation.

  • Genres: General, Action, Epic, Drama, Comedy, Horror and Noir.
  • Camera: 30+ movement presets, four camera bodies, five lens types, apertures from f/1.4 to f/11.
  • Look: 50+ color palettes and a lighting console with six presets.
  • Continuity: up to 50 references, Forward and Backward Extend, up to 30 seconds per generation.

Kling 4.0, Veo 3.1 and Seedance 2.5 can be picked inside Cinema Studio 4.0 on the same credits, but the genre, camera, palette and lighting controls apply only to Cinema Studio 4.0's own models.

What we tested: image-to-video, 8 s, 720p, audio off; then a three-scene sequence: reference → generation → two Extends.

Results: walk 3 of 3, sit and stand 3 of 3, glass 3 of 3. Sequence scenes: 3 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3.

Where it held: locked camera in every take, the left hand on the glass as asked, and the same face and outfit across all three scenes.

Where it broke: the first frame is re-rendered about 4% darker; one sequence take cut to a close-up despite Single shot pacing.

Who it is for: a scene built from several shots of the same person.

Pricing: 28 credits ($1.37) per 4 seconds at 720p. Plus $49/mo (1,000 credits), Ultra $129/mo (3,000 credits)

Kling 4.0: Complex Human Movement and Video Editing

Kling 4.0 is designed for complex human movement, including fast action, gestures and character interactions. Available to everyone since October 15, 2026, it adds 3- to 30-second clips, up to 10 keyframes and up to 15 references. It also edits existing video through Creative Recreation and targeted edits.

What we tested: Kling 4.0 on Higgsfield, image-to-video, 8 s, 720p. Sound is added by default.

Results: walk 3 of 3, sit and stand 3 of 3, glass 3 of 3.

Where it held: every take started on the start frame, the camera stayed locked, and the fingers closed around the glass and released it.

Where it broke: sound cannot be switched off on Higgsfield; no dedicated product-URL-to-ad workflow.

Who it is for: body movement and hand contact that must look right on the first try, at the lowest cost per usable clip.

Pricing: 22 credits ($1.08) per 8-second 720p clip on Higgsfield; launch discounts can lower this.

Seedance 2.5: Clean Contact, Loose With the Start Frame

Seedance 2.5 from ByteDance runs on Higgsfield and in Dreamina, ByteDance's own platform.

What we tested: Seedance 2.5 on Higgsfield, omni-reference with the image as start frame, 8 s, 720p, audio off.

Results: walk 2 of 3, sit and stand 3 of 3, glass 3 of 3.

Where it held: locked camera, clean sitting and standing, the left hand on the glass as asked.

Where it broke: one walking take started from a different framing, with the character smaller and further back; the first frame is re-rendered slightly darker.

Who it is for: full-body movement and object handling when the opening frame need not match exactly.

Pricing: 56 credits ($2.74) per 8 seconds on Higgsfield; in Dreamina, Basic $15/mo for 1,575 credits.

Veo 3.1: Full Walks, Wrong Hand

Veo 3.1 from Google DeepMind is still Google's flagship generation model. It combines detailed environments, native audio and prompt-based control, useful for scenes where both setting and character matter. It takes reference images for character appearance, style references, first and last frames and extension.

What we tested: Veo 3.1 (quality) on Higgsfield, image-to-video, 8 s, 720p, prompt enhancement and sound on by default.

Results: walk 3 of 3, sit and stand 3 of 3, glass 0 of 3.

Where it held: every take started on the start frame and completed the walk and the sit-stand.

Where it broke: in all three glass takes it used the right hand instead of the left and lifted the glass to chest height; the camera drifted slightly in every walk. Identity still needs checking across generations, and there is no product-URL-to-ad workflow.

Who it is for: scenes where environment and sound matter as much as the person.

Pricing: 80 credits ($3.92) per 8 seconds on Higgsfield. Google AI Plus $4.99/mo (200 Flow credits), Pro $19.99/mo (1,000), Ultra from $99.99/mo (10,000).

Runway Gen-4.5: Prompt-Led Control

Gen-4.5 handles text- and image-to-video generation, while Act-Two transfers recorded performances to a character. Runway also provides separate tools for editing footage, such as Aleph. Camera angle, body position and movement can be written directly into the prompt. Runway Ads, launched in September 2026, is a separate workflow that generates ad variants and publishes them to Meta, Google and TikTok.

Runway was not part of our test.

Pricing: Gen-4.5 uses 12 credits per second. Standard $15/mo (625 credits), Pro $35/mo (2,250), Max $95/mo (9,500).

Luma Ray3.2: Image-to-Video in Dream Machine

Ray3.2 is Luma's current video model in Dream Machine, and Luma Modify re-renders a recorded performance with a new character or look. Luma was not part of our test.

Pricing: 100 credits per 5 seconds and 300 per 10 seconds at 720p. Plus $30/mo (10,000 credits), Pro $90/mo (40,000), Ultra $300/mo (150,000).

Motion Transfer: Copying a Performance From a Video

Motion transfer copies a recorded performance onto a character image, so it should not be compared with prompt-only generation as if the conditions were equal.

Kling Motion Control 3.0

  • What we tested: Higgsfield, 720p, a full-body character image plus an 8-second video of a man walking toward a static camera. No prompt.
  • Where it held: the walk came from the video; the face, hair and outfit came from the image, in all three takes.
  • Where it broke: every clip stopped at 3.2 seconds, also with a re-encoded source, another character image and a shorter source.
  • Pricing: about 7 credits per 5 seconds at 720p.

Runway Act-Two maps head, face, body and hand performance from one driving video onto a character, without a text prompt. 5 credits per second.

Luma Modify re-renders a recorded performance with a new character while keeping the movement and timing.

Need a Talking Presenter Instead? HeyGen and Synthesia

For a presenter who talks to the camera, avatar platforms fit better than video models. They were not part of the motion test.

  • HeyGen Avatar V: presenter-led videos with natural gestures, facial expressions and lip-synced speech in 175+ languages; motion prompts direct gestures and movement. 48 credits per minute; Pro from $49/mo for 1,000 credits, about $2.35 per minute. Creator $29/mo (600 credits).
  • Synthesia: designed for scripted communication, training and presenter videos rather than complex action; supports different backgrounds and generated B-roll. Starter $19/mo (1,250 credits, about 12 minutes, ~$1.58 per minute), Pro $89/mo; since October 2026 credits are shared across video and other features.

Which Tool Should You Use?

  • Kling 4.0: usable in every task, lowest cost per usable clip.
  • Higgsfield Cinema Studio 4.0: usable in every task, one character across a sequence.
  • Seedance 2.5: clean sitting and glass handling, looser with the start frame.
  • Veo 3.1: full walks with environment and sound, wrong hand on the glass.
  • Kling Motion Control 3.0: real movement onto a new character, short clips.
  • Runway Gen-4.5 and Act-Two: prompt-led control and performance capture.
  • Luma Ray3.2 and Modify: generation and re-rendering of recorded performances.
